About the Company

Xccelerated, part of the Xebia Group, is a technology accelerator dedicated to developing the next generation of Cloud, Data & AI professionals. You will work four days a week on client projects and dedicate one day to structured training, coaching, and innovation. After one year, there is a chance to transition directly to the client organization.

The Role

As a Cloud Engineer at Xccelerated, you will design, build, and optimize a secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud platform that supports a modern data ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure and platform components on GCP.
• Building and managing cloud-based data platforms using tools such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, dbt, and Cloud Storage.
• Monitoring and optimizing performance, security, and cost efficiency of cloud environments.
• Automating infrastructure and workflows to enhance scalability and reliability.
• Supporting and advising development teams on cloud architecture and best practices.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Staying updated with the latest Google Cloud developments and cloud-native best practices.

Requirements

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys building scalable cloud platforms and learning through hands-on experience. You should possess:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud, IT, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, preferably GCP (AWS or Azure is also acceptable).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands and work in an English-speaking environment.
