The Role

The Quality Manager is tasked with overseeing Project Quality Assurance and Quality Control, emphasizing site quality activities and installation processes. This role guarantees compliance with project standards, manages quality documentation, and ensures a seamless handover to stakeholders. The Quality Lead advocates for the use of Sisk management systems and provides necessary training to staff.

The Role

In this position, you will lead site quality activities, manage installation processes, and ensure that all project and customer deliverables are met. You will act as a liaison between site operations and the Sisk Site Management Team, ensuring customer requirements are integrated into management systems and project-specific procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the quality message on site and lead site quality activities.
  • Ensure benchmarks align with technical submittals and contract requirements for client review.
  • Prepare and submit all quality documentation for installation and handover in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the W1, W2 & W3 walkdown process.
  • Drive implementation and compliance with Sisk management systems across the project.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality systems and best practices to staff.
  • Support site delivery teams by organizing and maintaining quality data for completed installations.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct induction training for new employees on company systems and procedures.
  • Train staff and suppliers on company best practices.

Quality Risk Mitigation

  • Implement Sisk Q10s where applicable and mitigate quality risk trends.
  • Ensure quality is a key focus on all projects and review audit closures.
  • Conduct Quality Health Checks/Site Inspections of construction activities.
  • Manage and communicate any non-conformances and defects to Package Managers.
  • Promote Quality Awareness and ensure the Quality Cycle is embedded within the team.

Support Roles

  • Support colleagues by managing quality on the project.
  • Conduct quality awareness workshops and advise on quality concerns.
  • Attend project meetings with Sisk site teams.
  • Collect and analyze data for Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including quality audits and customer feedback.
  • Prepare reports for Project Leadership and BU Quality Manager.
  • Alert site leadership about inadequate quality measures identified on the project.
  • Assist in customer and third-party audits and inspections as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in QA/QC roles within construction or engineering projects.
  • Proven record in managing quality for DC projects at a managerial level.
  • Leadership experience in site quality activities and installation processes.
  • Understanding of quality issues in construction; knowledge of sustainability and health & safety is beneficial.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Tier 1 contractors on large or complex projects.
  • Familiarity with digital quality systems and data analytics tools.
  • Understanding of lean construction and right-first-time methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Professional quality qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Auditor training to ISO standards.
