The Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment while representing the brand image and corporate values of INDITEX. In close collaboration with the Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage product placement, and optimize the store layout to enhance profitability and create an engaging fashion experience. You will also organize and develop the team to ensure effective collaboration and exceptional customer service, while adhering to fashion trends and customer preferences. You will report directly to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of commercial tools to support the commercial and operations managers.
• Improve store performance and assist the Store Manager in meeting budgets and expectations.
• Ensure all departments align with the company's visual guidelines.
• Oversee timely and effective replenishment across the store.
• Participate in planning and managing stock deliveries and sales preparation processes.
• Support the Store Manager in completing the security checklist and general services guide, ensuring adherence to security procedures.
• Prepare monthly schedules and manage holidays based on business needs.
• Address recruitment needs, ensuring a fair selection process.
• Collaborate with the Employee Experience Manager to ensure training for all new and current employees.
• Effectively resolve customer queries and manage conflicts.
• Comply with Health & Safety Policy.
• Promote the company's sustainability project.

Requirements

• Ability to lead by example, motivate, and develop employees.
• Experience in managing and developing a team, including training and performance reviews.
• Initiative in proactively identifying and addressing issues.
• Strong organizational skills with effective delegation and multitasking abilities.
• Strong numerical skills for managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with retail management systems, POS systems, and other relevant technology.
• Understanding of market trends, commercial dynamics, and competitor landscape.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a customer service management role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Dutch.
