The Role

We are seeking a Network Support Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in HP and Cisco technologies. This role involves delivering comprehensive physical installation, configuration, and design of network systems. The Network Support services will encompass a variety of activities, including:

Responsibilities

  • 24/7 monitoring and Priority 1 (P1) support services.
  • Providing local HQ IT business hours support for non-critical services (P2, P3, P4 incidents and service requests).
  • Offering reactive and proactive Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
  • Managing incidents, problems, changes, configurations, and availability.
  • Proactively monitoring devices and environments using existing HQ tools.
  • Supporting Wi-Fi Access Points with existing HQ tools.
  • Managing local firewalls, including configuration, monitoring, rule updates, and coordination with security teams.
  • Coordinating asset management with third-party resolver groups.
  • Remediating patches and vulnerabilities for network devices.
  • Overseeing security, accounting, and compliance management.
  • Identifying network issues and implementing proactive resolutions.
  • Collaborating with HQ IT teams and vendors to execute network changes.
  • Ensuring reliable network connectivity within local HQ IT data rooms.
  • Monitoring network devices and connectivity health in the data room environment.
  • Coordinating changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities with vendors and HQ IT teams to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues affecting servers, storage, and end-user services in collaboration with vendors.
