The Role

As a Test Designer, you will lead and shape the testing strategy for cutting-edge software products. Your role involves establishing test strategies, developing automated testing environments, and ensuring software quality within multidisciplinary teams. You will engage in exciting projects across sectors such as semiconductors, analytical systems, and medical technology.

The Role

You will work from our Delft office and client locations on innovative projects that push technological boundaries. As an expert in design and testing, you will also collaborate, connect, and contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify test levels, quality criteria, and acceptance conditions.
  • Design and manage test environments and their infrastructure.
  • Define the test automation architecture and oversee its development.
  • Apply TDD, BDD, and Gherkin to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Operate in technical environments where software controls hardware.
  • Support multidisciplinary development teams with your testing expertise.
  • Optimize testing processes within Agile workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • ISTQB Advanced certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing and test automation in a technical setting.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, C#, or C++.
  • Familiarity with test strategies, BDD/TDD, and the Gherkin language.
  • Knowledge of real-time systems, UML, design patterns, and development methodologies.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams involving electronics and mechanics.
