The Role

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will design and engineer complex electrical infrastructures for data centres. Your work will involve advanced power systems ranging from 5V DC to 150 kV substations, including distribution networks, energy storage, redundancy concepts, and UPS systems. In brownfield projects, you will operate in live data centre environments, where risk management and testing are crucial for ensuring continuity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical systems for data centres, from LV distribution to HV substations, including redundancy and UPS architectures.
• Define design scope and prepare technical specifications, reports, and tender documentation.
• Manage and coordinate electrical work packages across multiple projects.
• Support risk assessments, cost reviews, and technical tender evaluations.
• Represent Haskoning during FAT, SAT, and site testing and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design within data centres or mission critical environments.
• Proven knowledge of industry standards and practices.
• Strong understanding of clients’ operational environments for designing reliable solutions.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
