About the Team

As a Senior Data Engineer within the MarTech team, you will play a crucial role in independently developing and delivering high-quality features. You will be part of a growing team focused on enhancing our innovative MarTech solutions through advanced marketing suites.

The Role

You will design and develop high-performance, reusable, and reliable code. Taking ownership of your projects, you will build client relationships and be a proactive self-starter. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, coding, debugging, and testing major features while ensuring early identification of bugs and fulfillment of requirements. You will also identify technical improvement areas and advocate for enhancements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, particularly in data structures and algorithms with a focus on backend and data engineering.
• 5 years of hands-on experience with Python, including advanced concepts like Design Patterns, OOP, and FP.
• 3 years of proven experience in building cloud-native, data-intensive applications on AWS (preferred).
• Experience with Databricks including Lakehouse, ML/MosaicAI, Unity Catalog, MLflow, and model serving.
• Proficient in Data Warehouse design and development tailored to business needs using modern data warehouses.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Spark applications.
• Expertise in architecting and implementing workflow management systems, particularly Airflow.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable REST API services.
• Proficient in implementing serverless services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis, SNS, SQS, S3, and EC2.
• Experience building services around Apache Kafka with Schema Registry.
• Fundamental understanding of file formats such as Parquet, Avro, and Iceberg.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing error tracking and monitoring for backend services using DataDog and Grafana.
• Strong background in building CI/CD processes, with experience in Git Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins being a plus.
• Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
