The Role

We are seeking a skilled Game Designer with expertise in the Godot Game Engine for a remote hourly contract position. This role offers flexibility in hours and competitive compensation.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing gameplay systems using the Godot Game Engine. Collaboration with designers, artists, and developers is key to delivering engaging player experiences. You will also architect and maintain scalable, clean, and well-documented codebases while troubleshooting complex technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize gameplay systems using the Godot Game Engine.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with the Godot Game Engine and related scripting languages.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality game projects.
  • Strong understanding of 2D and 3D game development pipelines and optimization.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working in remote and collaborative development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
