The Role

We are looking for a bilingual HR Director fluent in English and French to oversee all human resources functions within the manufacturing sector in Algeria. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR practices specific to manufacturing, including labor laws, safety regulations, and employee relations, along with outstanding leadership and communication skills.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing HR policies, recruitment, employee benefits, performance management, and employee relations in a manufacturing environment. This role requires relocation to Algeria.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Lead recruitment for factory labor positions, including candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits programs specific to manufacturing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee performance management systems for factory workers, including goal setting, evaluations, and improvement plans.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing supervisors and employees on HR-related issues and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HR records related to factory labor, ensuring data confidentiality and security.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management within manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager in a manufacturing setting, particularly in factory labor management.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential; Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions relevant to manufacturing, including recruitment, safety compliance, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards applicable to manufacturing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with factory workers and management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
