The Leaseweb API serves as the gateway for our services, powering all Leaseweb websites, dashboards, and both internal and external applications. We are looking for a Software Developer to join the Leaseweb Developer Platform team to create the leading API in the hosting market and support related platforms.

About the Company

Leaseweb's Product Engineering team consists of around 110 engineers working in small scrum teams, each with end-to-end responsibility for specific products or architectural components. We operate on a remote-first basis, gathering in person at our Amsterdam headquarters twice a year. The Role

As a Software Developer for the Developer Platform team, you will leverage your expertise to assist with operations and R&D. You will collaborate with various product teams to define, architect, and review new APIs, engage with the developer community, represent the Leaseweb API, and participate in developer events to enhance the API. Additionally, you will design, implement, and support applications, tools, and platforms that aid our development teams and customers, including our authentication platform and central logging service.

Technologies you will work with include (but are not limited to) PHP with Symfony, Typescript with Angular, Golang, MySQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Redis, and Chef.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
• Strong programming skills, particularly in PHP
• Experience or affinity with frontend development (Angular or similar frameworks)
• Proficient in API development and integrating external services
• Experience in designing and contributing to software architectures
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems using OAuth2 (experience with larger systems is a plus)
• Experience in building libraries and/or SDKs is advantageous
• Solid working knowledge of Linux environments
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• Experience with Terraform or building Terraform plugins is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proactive mindset focused on quality improvement and incident prevention
• Good communication skills in English
