We are looking for a Technical Leader in Digital IC Design to join our multidisciplinary team at imec Netherlands, where you will architect and lead ultra-low-power digital signal processing designs. You will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for Life Science & Health applications and massive sensor networks for IoT.

The Role

As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Designing high-performance, ultra-low-power digital signal processing modules.
• Understanding customer needs and translating them into design solutions.
• Proposing digital architectures and defining IC specifications.
• Planning and managing design and implementation strategies throughout the project.
• Collaborating with system architects, digital back-end teams, and embedded software teams.
• Leading RTL development for ASIC and FPGA.
• Supervising verification planning and activities, potentially including mixed-signal projects.
• Defining new workflows to enhance design process efficiency.
• Contributing to high-quality reports and documentation.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in electronics engineering with 10+ years of relevant ASIC design experience, including 3-4 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the digital ASIC design flow: logic synthesis, timing analysis, power estimation/simulation, and logic equivalence.
• Experience working with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in digital circuit design using (System) Verilog.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as TCL, Matlab, or Python.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Preferred experience in digital verification methodologies and low-power/signal processing designs.
• Knowledge of Cadence IC design tools and mixed-signal interfaces is a plus.
• Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication in English.
