We are looking for a skilled Lead Cybersecurity Architect to spearhead the design, development, and enhancement of our advanced cybersecurity services throughout Africa. This position combines extensive technical knowledge with strong commercial and customer interaction skills to oversee solution architecture, pre-sales activities, and ensure technical delivery excellence.

The Role

You will engage with C-level stakeholders, drive cybersecurity business growth, and ensure the effective deployment and integration of enterprise-level security programs and technologies. A solid understanding of the Nigerian cybersecurity market, including key players and competitive dynamics, is crucial for effectively positioning our services and establishing strategic partnerships in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cybersecurity architectures across enterprise environments, including SOC, IR, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and UEBA platforms.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, present cybersecurity value propositions, and contribute to business growth through technical demonstrations and workshops.
• Develop comprehensive technical proposals and responses to RfPs, ensuring alignment with customer needs and global security best practices.
• Advise clients on governance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SWIFT CSCF, PCI DSS, and NIST CSF, assisting organizations in maturing their governance and risk management processes.
• Ensure successful integration and optimization of Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Security, Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender Suite, and Purview.
• Oversee managed SOC design and operations, aligning detection, investigation, and response capabilities with cyber threat intelligence and automation via SOAR.
• Utilize extensive networks in Nigeria and the broader African market to drive cybersecurity sales, partnerships, and regional business growth.
• Provide strategic guidance on Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Data Security, and Cloud Security initiatives.
• Preferred: Expand client solutions through experience with alternative SIEMs (Splunk, QRadar, Exabeam) and security controls in other cloud service providers like AWS and GCP.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, security operations, or advisory roles.
• Proven experience in pre-sales and customer engagement, ideally within cybersecurity consulting or services firms.
• Deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and incident management practices.
• Strong familiarity with regulatory standards and audit frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT, NIST).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security ecosystems and cloud-native controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex technical topics into business-aligned outcomes.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert are advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian cybersecurity ecosystem, including key competitors, partners, and market trends.
