About The Magnum Ice Cream Company

As from July 1, 2025, we begin operating as The Magnum Ice Cream Company, the world’s leading pure-play ice cream business in the world, a standalone business within Unilever.

Our mission is to bring the power of ice cream to more people, in more places in new and unexpected ways.

As the parent company to an eclectic and beloved range of consumer brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Cornetto and the heart brand (Wall’s, Ola, Miko, Lagnese and many more), we create ice cream experiences and products that invigorate the senses and explode in taste. Why? Because life tastes better with ice cream.

Your focus will be on driving maintenance transformation, enhancing equipment availability, and standardizing top-tier maintenance systems and culture. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Digital, and Safety teams to ensure that assets are reliable, safe, and cost-effective, supporting the long-term performance of the Magnum Ice Cream business.

Responsibilities

  • Build capability across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines.
  • Set clear performance expectations and accountability across EU and ANZ sites.
  • Oversee the deployment and implementation of the Maintenance Tower across factories, ensuring consistent governance and performance management.
  • Define and standardize maintenance processes, roles, KPIs, and escalation routines within the Maintenance Tower framework.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Digital, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain to integrate the Maintenance Tower with factory performance routines.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and embed safety leadership within the Maintenance Tower.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, contractor strategies, and spare-parts policies.
  • Optimize resource allocation and support long-term maintenance investment and capability planning.
  • Drive effective use of CMMS and digital maintenance tools.
  • Monitor and review maintenance performance dashboards and KPIs.
  • Embed TPM/WCM/Lean Maintenance principles and develop talent pipelines for maintenance roles.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, reliability leadership, or engineering roles.

  • Willingness to work closely with teams on the factory floor, with flexibility for occasional atypical hours.
  • Availability for national and international travel across EU and ANZ sites.

What We Offer

  • A role that positions you as the owner of the Maintenance Tower, not just a contributor.
  • Opportunities for growth and empowerment in a dynamic work environment.
  • A culture that emphasizes speed, simplicity, collaboration, and innovation.
