The Role

As a Host/Hostess at The Social Hub, you will be the first welcoming face for our guests, setting the tone for their experience. Your role involves connecting with visitors, managing guest flow seamlessly, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from the entrance to their tables. You will handle reservations, coordinate with the service team, and remember regulars' preferences, all while making guests feel valued and appreciated.

The Role

You will work in a vibrant hospitality setting, interacting with new faces daily and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest warmly and manage the entrance area confidently.
  • Handle reservations via phone, email, and booking systems, including modifications and special requests.
  • Coordinate guest seating with the FOH and kitchen teams for a smooth experience.
  • Monitor wait times and guest needs, providing thoughtful solutions when necessary.
  • Keep the host stand, menus, and entrance area tidy and inviting at all times.
  • Assist with service tasks like coat checks and birthday setups during busy periods.
  • Serve as the voice and vibe of the venue, informing guests about menus, specials, and events.
  • Share guest feedback and preferences with the team to enhance their experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a guest-facing hospitality role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel.
  • Proficient in using digital booking systems and managing guest queues.
  • A warm and polished demeanor that reflects the venue's tone and style.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Ability to remain calm during peak hours and high-volume situations.
  • Team-oriented attitude, willing to assist wherever needed.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
