The Role

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our newly branded food and beverage concept in Amsterdam West. Your ownership and personality will be key in driving the kitchen operations to success. With your culinary expertise and passion for diverse cuisines, you'll have the opportunity to solidify your reputation in the food industry and inspire others.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring culinary standards, and collaborating with the F&B Manager on menu development. Your leadership will foster a passionate kitchen team and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and culinary standards.
  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager on innovative menu development.
  • Set and maintain quality standards for the kitchen team.
  • Manage, train, and recruit chefs to promote a sense of community.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with food suppliers according to company policy.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager for a profitable operation.
  • Monitor food GP, payroll, and control expenses related to food and labor costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience in various kitchens, preferably internationally.
  • Excellent knowledge and passion for local cuisine.
  • Strong planning skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
  • Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in coaching and educating interns.
  • Proactive with an innovative mindset focused on improvement.
  • Comfortable in an ambitious and informal environment with a diverse team.
  • Ability to meet time limits while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Legally authorized to work in the Netherlands.
