The Role

Sorara B.V. is looking for a seasoned sales professional to lead key account management and drive business expansion in the Netherlands. This role will focus on managing and growing strategic partnerships with major retail clients such as Hornbach, Hagebau, and Bauhaus. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing market position, optimizing product offerings, and achieving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of key accounts to foster business growth.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with major retail partners, including Hornbach, Hagebau, and Bauhaus.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing or newly developed product categories to enhance market presence.
  • Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and product assortment planning.
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies while identifying new retail opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and meet business targets.
  • Support the Managing Director by completing assigned tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of experience in Sales or Key Account Management.
  • Established relationships and experience with major German DIY retailers (Hornbach, Hagebau, Bauhaus).
  • Proven experience in an international organization with Chinese management, demonstrating cross-cultural alignment skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, translating evolving strategies into concrete actions.
  • Strong capability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and non-linear processes while maintaining commercial accountability.
  • Experience in rapid re-prioritization and hands-on problem-solving beyond standard key account management.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions from top management without delay.
  • Experience in selling physical consumer goods, preferably in outdoor, garden, or building materials.
  • Multilingual proficiency in German and English is required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
