The Role

With extensive expertise in Securities Finance processes, the consultant will provide both functional and technical guidance to clients, ensuring alignment with business strategies and regulatory standards. This role includes defining system objectives and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.

The Role

You will work independently or as part of a global consulting team, focusing on technology and business consulting for clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, operations, and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment during project delivery.
  • Researching, analyzing, and documenting complex client business requirements and regulatory constraints across various platforms.
  • Defining product scope, objectives, and functional requirements; producing detailed specifications and data models for implementation.
  • Creating comprehensive documentation to guide technical solutions and system configurations.
  • Analyzing industry trends and recommending optimal solutions to clients.
  • Assessing system impacts and integration considerations across systems.
  • Designing and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency and address client challenges.
  • Evaluating technologies and recommending solutions in collaboration with consulting teams.
  • Defining test strategies and supporting user acceptance testing using client data.
  • Influencing client decision-making regarding priorities and vendor selection.
  • Consulting directly with clients and traveling to client sites as needed.
  • Leading functional workstreams or sub-projects and mentoring junior consultants.
  • Supporting training initiatives and delivering knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Providing pre-sales functional and solution support when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, with a focus on Securities Lending, Repo, and Collateral Management.
  • Expert knowledge of Securities Finance processes, including Repo, Reverse Repo, and Collateral Management.
  • Strong understanding of SecFinance workflows, including trade capture and settlements.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing consulting role, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into functional specifications and documentation.
  • Experience in supporting UAT and client acceptance activities.
  • Knowledge of market infrastructures and regulatory considerations in Securities Finance.
  • Proficiency in business modeling techniques and familiarity with quality management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with SFTC / Apex Collateral or similar applications related to Securities finance trading collateral.
  • Technical skills in databases, Java, data analysis, and reporting.
