Als 2nd Officer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheren van navigatie- en dekactiviteiten tijdens jouw wacht. Je maakt deel uit van de bemanning en zorgt voor een veilige en efficiënte afhandeling van het schip, in overeenstemming met de regels en onze hoge veiligheidsnormen. Door nauw samen te werken met je team, ontwikkel je waardevolle ervaring op internationaal opererende schepen en verbeter je je professionele en leiderschapsvaardigheden.
Jouw Impact
Als 2nd Officer draag je bij aan veilige en efficiënte offshore operaties door situational awareness te behouden en routinematige operationele problemen op te lossen tijdens jouw wacht. Dit doe je door nauwkeurige registratie, inspecties en duidelijke communicatie volgens de regels en voorschriften. Je verantwoordelijkheden omvatten:
- Beheren van navigatie-wachtverplichtingen en brugadministratie;
- Focus op proactieve risicobeoordeling en routebewaking;
- Integratie van operationele missies;
- Toezicht houden op operationele activiteiten en ervoor zorgen dat taken veilig en volgens plan worden uitgevoerd;
- Ondersteunen van de ontwikkeling van minder ervaren dekbemanningsleden.
