Heb je ervaring met werken op zee als Stuurman en ben je toe aan een nieuw avontuur? Bij Stena Line is geen dag hetzelfde als 2e Stuurman aan boord van onze prachtige schepen. Als 2e Stuurman of -vrouw ligt de verantwoordelijkheid op jouw schouders om zorg te dragen voor een veilige overtocht van onze schepen en passagiers. Een belangrijke taak, maar mede door een sterk team zal het voor jou iedere dag weer een leuke taak zijn. Vanuit Hoek van Holland of Europoort word ingezet op onze een van onze routes naar Engeland. Hiervoor werk je in een week-op-week-af-schema (8 dagen op 6 dagen af) waarbij rouleren over de schepen en variërende vaarweken tot de mogelijkheden behoren.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Zorgdragen voor een veilige overtocht van het schip, passagiers, bemanning en lading.
- Coördineren van dek-activiteiten in de haven en op zee waaronder het zelfstandig wachtlopen en het volledig laden en lossen van het schip.
- Informeren van de kapitein en 1e stuurman bij incidenten en/of gevaarlijke situaties.
- Het te woord staan van klanten en eventueel de-escalerend optreden bij conflicten.
- Organiseren van veiligheidstrainingen en procedures voor het personeel aan boord.
- Verantwoordelijk voor het reddingsmaterieel en de veiligheidsvoorzieningen aan boord.
- Werken met onderhoudssysteem AMOS.
- Maakt deel uit van de veiligheidsorganisatie t.b.v. de passagiers.
