The Role
As a 2nd Engineer (Deck), you will be primarily responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment related to deck operations. You will also assist in engine room activities as needed, implementing and monitoring technical procedures, reporting, and managing work execution during your shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain deck equipment, including cranes, winches, carousels, tensioners, reel drives, chain drives, hydraulic motors, and electrical systems.
- Assist in engine room activities as required.
- Implement and monitor technical procedures and report on work management and execution.
- Contribute to a positive HSEQ culture and adhere to local HSEQ codes and practices.
- Uphold ethics and integrity in accordance with Subsea7's Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Relevant academic qualifications or completion of an appropriate apprenticeship compliant with STCW Code III/1.
- Familiarity with deck equipment and systems.
- Valid Seafarer Medical Fitness or equivalent.
- Offshore Survival certificate suitable for the geographical area of work.
- ILR required for successful applicants.
