As a 2nd Engineer Backhoe Dredger, you will be integral to the maintenance and operation of our sophisticated dredging vessels, particularly the backhoe dredgers. These vessels are vital for our dredging and marine projects, including the construction of harbors, canals, and offshore wind farms. Your role will ensure that the technical equipment and systems on board are in optimal working condition, enabling the team to execute their tasks efficiently and safely.

Your Impact

You play a crucial role in keeping our backhoe dredgers operational and efficient. By supporting the 1st Engineer and collaborating closely with the crew, you ensure that our technical systems remain in excellent condition, even in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the 1st Engineer with daily maintenance and operation of engines, propulsion systems, and generators.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on board.
• Foster a safe, smooth, and productive working environment through effective teamwork and communication.
