This position is part of the Service Experience Design team within the award-winning Philips Design community. We focus on creating comprehensive service experiences throughout the customer lifecycle for our healthcare partners, addressing the needs of both front-line staff and behind-the-scenes roles. Our multi-disciplinary design team combines UX, service design, user research, and usability to deliver impactful solutions. In this role, you will design intuitive and visually engaging UI/UX for digital service applications by translating customer and employee needs into functional product experiences.

The Role

You will be involved in the entire digital solution process—from initial conceptualization and user testing to collaborative design with development teams, ensuring timely delivery to our customers. As part of a cross-functional team, your primary focus will be on crafting high-quality experiences with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, conceptualize, and refine digital design solutions with a holistic approach for service models and ecosystems, considering the needs of customers and employees.
• Validate solutions through user needs analysis and ensure overall user satisfaction from service journeys to detailed interface levels.
• Apply creative solutions and demonstrate design expertise using the latest design tools and methods, including Design Systems, Figma, UX prototyping, and AI creation tools.
• Foster effective collaboration among design, business stakeholders, development teams, and service teams to drive innovative and implementable service solutions.
• Communicate enthusiastically and use storytelling methods to influence stakeholders and achieve program goals.
• Navigate complex project constraints, including budget and time limitations, while ensuring quality outcomes aligned with our Filament design system and balancing short-term and long-term objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in creating software solutions from discovery to design specifications, including prototyping and user testing.
• Strong UI/UX design portfolio for cloud platforms and applications based on a Design Language System, demonstrating clear impact and value.
• Experience in complex digital ecosystems, preferably in healthcare or digital service domains, with various touchpoints and applications.
• Proficiency in user research and usability testing for systemic software solutions.
• Familiarity with Figma, UX prototyping, and AI creation tools.
• Experience in co-designing with agile software development teams and knowledge of relevant coding software.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions compellingly and convincingly.
• Commitment to enhancing design quality through constructive feedback and co-creation methodologies.

This is an office-based position located in our Amsterdam office.
