The Role
Remote People is exclusively partnering with a leading global company in Animal Nutrition to find a Technical Service Manager who will oversee scientific and field support operations in key European markets. Our client is renowned for their innovative solutions in livestock performance, particularly their rumen-protected fats and high-performance nutritional supplements. We are looking for a technical expert to serve as the primary scientific link between R&D and farm operations across their growing European territory.
The Role
This is a senior-level position that combines technical and commercial responsibilities. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing scientific support to Key Account Managers and distributors throughout Europe, ensuring industry-leading performance through your expertise and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Technical Authority: Lead nutritional consultancy for the ruminant sector (Dairy/Beef) in your assigned European territory.
- On-Farm Science: Design and conduct farm trials to gather performance data and demonstrate clear product ROI to customers.
- Nutritional Troubleshooting: Analyze herd rations and address complex nutritional challenges for farmers and large-scale merchants.
- Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical training to sales teams and represent the brand at major international industry conferences.
Requirements
- Experience: Over 5 years in a technical or consultative role within the Ruminant/Dairy sector.
- Education: Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or Agricultural Science.
- Hybrid Skills: A combination of technical expertise and commercial acumen; understanding that high-quality data is the best sales tool.
- Mobility: Field-based role requiring up to 50% travel across Europe.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a significant advantage.
