The Role

Join our innovative platform as the first frontend engineer in Europe and help shape the future of our user experience. You'll design and develop high-performance user interfaces while integrating AI-powered features to enhance personalization and recommendations.

The Role

As a self-starter, you will take ownership of frontend development, collaborating closely with backend engineers to optimize API interactions and performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop responsive user interfaces using React JS and related technologies.
  • Integrate AI-driven personalization and recommendations into the frontend experience.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure smooth API design and performance.
  • Implement and maintain scalable design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Optimize frontend performance for video-first discovery and booking flows.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and compatibility across devices.
  • Conduct experiments with Statsig to validate frontend flows and conversion strategies.
  • Work with product and growth teams to translate experiment results into scalable features.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests for quality assurance.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and documentation to uphold codebase standards.
  • Stay updated with frontend tools and best practices, contributing innovative ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in frontend development with React JS.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a focus on clean and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as Redux, Axios, and Material UI.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an AI-first environment and embracing experimentation frameworks.
  • A self-starter attitude, ready to set best practices as the first frontend engineer in Europe.
