The Role
As a Service Technician at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing wind turbines at our wind farms in Fryslân or Westermeerwind. This position involves a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, working alongside a dedicated team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our offshore and nearshore wind energy assets.
The Role
You will be responsible for performing service, maintenance, and repair activities on wind turbines, focusing primarily on electrical work (approximately 70%) with some mechanical tasks (approximately 30%). Your day-to-day activities will include troubleshooting electrical systems, hydraulics, and control systems, as well as documenting service activities through clear and accurate technical reports. Collaboration with at least two technicians will be essential to complete tasks efficiently and safely, adhering to Siemens Energy’s quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- MBO-4 degree in Electrical Engineering, AOT, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field.
- Experience with hydraulics and control systems.
- Strong affinity for electrical systems and components.
- Flexible, analytical, and quality-oriented mindset with strong teamwork skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English, particularly technical English.
- Ability to reach Breezanddijk (or Lemmer) within a maximum one-way travel time of 45 minutes.
