The Role

As the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will oversee technically complex projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards while managing a team of mechanical engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in daily operations, aligning with project requirements and discipline objectives.
• Manage team performance and resource allocation, ensuring optimal task assignments.
• Ensure discipline deliverables and multidisciplinary designs meet project requirements and adhere to engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide professional input to enhance engineering methods and technologies.
• Monitor project progress and uphold quality standards in line with project requirements.
• Enhance discipline and product standards by applying lessons learned from past projects.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a proven track record.
• Experience in leading and guiding teams to achieve high performance.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage priorities effectively.
• Excellent technical knowledge and mechanical expertise in design and structural aspects.
• Ability to provide clear direction and guidance to the team.
• Coaching and mentoring skills for career development.
• Keen eye for process improvement and maintaining high discipline standards.
• An EU passport or valid work permit for The Netherlands.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
