About VSPARTICLE

Every breakthrough in human history begins with materials. At VSParticle, we accelerate the development and scaling of advanced materials that power our customers’ real-world solutions.

We are a Dutch company specializing in nanoparticle synthesis and nanoporous layer deposition. Using our patented spark ablation technology, we provide tools and deposition services that allow research and industrial R&D teams to generate high-purity nanoparticles directly from bulk metals and to form binder-free nanoporous layers across metals, alloys, and metal oxides.

Our portfolio includes R&D equipment for nanoparticle synthesis and printing, as well as deposition services that deliver ready-to-use nanoporous layers on customer substrates.

Our solutions help clients speed up R&D, validate concepts, and shorten development cycles in electrocatalysis (PEMWE, CO₂RR, HER, OER, N₂RR), gas sensing (CO₂, N₂, CO, NH₃, toluene, H₂), and material discovery applications. The same capabilities can also support other applications where precise nanomaterials matter, including semiconductors, catalysis, health technologies, and other advanced applications.

By bridging the gap from lab to fabrication, VSParticle enables faster material development, more controlled experimentation, and a scalable path toward next-generation device technologies and industrial applications.

The Role

VSPARTICLE (VSP) is a pioneering nanotechnology company dedicated to transforming material development for clean energy and innovative applications. Our mission involves exploring millions of new materials to address significant global challenges in green hydrogen, gas sensing, and battery technologies.

The Role

We are seeking a driven Electrical Engineer with a keen interest in power electronics, high voltage/high current design, and high-frequency systems. You will enhance our Product Development team and be instrumental in scaling our groundbreaking technology for industrial applications. Collaborating with a senior electrical architect, a System Engineer, and an Integration Engineer, you will work on prototypes and industrial upgrades. Given our small team size, your responsibilities will be diverse, including support for motor control, integration, testing, wiring & e-schematics, and PLC integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and troubleshoot high-frequency (10+ MHz), high-voltage, high-current power electronic circuits and systems.
  • Identify and resolve electrical and EMC issues in prototypes.
  • Assist in selecting and evaluating electrical components and subsystems to fulfill product requirements.
  • Develop wiring diagrams and electrical schematics for complex systems, aiding in integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and researchers.
  • Translate proof-of-concepts into scalable, production-ready architectures.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety and EMC standards in designs.
  • Create bills of materials, electrical schematics, and technical documentation for your designs.

Requirements

  • MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in complex electronics.
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage (>1kV), high-current (>100A) circuit designs up to 3kW.
  • Hands-on experience with high-frequency systems (10 MHz and above).
  • Independent, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Startup mentality—flexible and willing to take responsibility, able to work at the architecture level and engage in integration and testing.
  • Bonus: Proficiency with design and simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, KiCad), experience with microcontrollers, and embedded software development.

What We Offer

  • A committed and enthusiastic team.
  • A modern office with state-of-the-art lab facilities in the heart of Delft.
  • Flexibility for hybrid work.
  • A non-hierarchical structure and a diverse, international team.
  • Free daily lunch and regular social events.
  • 30 vacation days, pension scheme, travel allowance, and a personal development budget.
  • Option to lease a bicycle through the company plan.
