We are seeking a passionate Field Application Engineer who thrives in complex systems and automation. The Role

You will be responsible for collaborating with port terminal system stakeholders and Embotech developers on system integration, defining use cases for new functionalities, and supporting on-site vehicle and simulator testing activities. You will serve as the first point of contact for fleet management software support, efficiently reporting test results and issues to development and business teams. Additionally, you will work closely with product management, software engineers, and controls engineers to ensure a well-integrated autonomous driving stack, document new processes, and perform on-site work at Rotterdam Maasvlakte II.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with port terminal system stakeholders and Embotech developers on system integration.
• Define use cases for new functionalities.
• Support on-site vehicle and simulator testing activities.
• Act as the first point of contact for fleet management software support.
• Efficiently report test results and issues to development and business teams.
• Work with product management, software engineers, and controls engineers to deliver a well-integrated full autonomous driving stack.
• Document new processes.
• Work on-site at Rotterdam Maasvlakte II.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in robotics, mechatronics, computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in systems engineering or technical business analysis.
• Experience with application deployment at customer sites or in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:
  • Web development
  • Web application deployment
  • Autonomous driving
  • Port terminal automation
• Self-driven team player with a hands-on mentality.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
