The Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to enhance our Technology Risk and Enablement team. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and scalability of Optiver’s technology function. You will collaborate with our global CTOs to provide insights on technology performance and risk management.

The Role

You will act as a vital link between technology, trading, compliance, and risk teams, significantly impacting our projects. Your responsibilities will include hosting the firm’s incident retro process and working closely with senior leaders to connect various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with trading, technology, and control teams to drive critical cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead effective meetings with engineering leaders to review incidents, identify necessary improvements, and plan related efforts, addressing emerging themes, patterns, and risks.
  • Provide insights and suggestions to global CTOs to help achieve operational excellence within the technology function.
  • Identify upcoming technology upgrades at trading exchanges and coordinate Optiver's response.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in scripting for workflow automation and data management (Python preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach.
  • Experience in influencing and collaborating with individuals at all levels in high-performing organizations.
  • Solid project management experience with a proactive mindset.
  • A strong understanding of complex technical systems.
  • Genuine interest in the financial industry and a desire to learn more.
