The Role

We are seeking an IT System & Network Administrator who is passionate about ownership, problem-solving, and maintaining a secure IT environment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our network, systems, security, and providing 2nd/3rd line support. If you excel in technical troubleshooting and infrastructure optimization with technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, vSphere, LAN/WAN, VPN, and Firewalls, this position is ideal for you.

Responsibilities

• Network & Infrastructure: Actively maintain and enhance our core network environment, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, and security components. Monitor performance, plan upgrades, and optimize configurations to ensure stability and security.
• 2nd and 3rd Line Support: Address complex technical issues related to systems, networks, and applications. Identify root causes, document solutions, and ensure long-term stability through hands-on troubleshooting.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security measures such as MFA, endpoint protection, and patch management. Ensure compliance with group IT policies and contribute to a secure infrastructure.
• Application Management: Install, configure, and maintain critical business applications both on-premise and in the cloud. Manage and optimize our virtual environment using VMware and vSphere to ensure server reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in System or Network Administration.
• Proficient in managing and troubleshooting complex network environments.
• Strong background with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, M365/Exchange, Azure).
• Security-focused mindset with hands-on experience in security tools.
• Experience in 2nd and 3rd line support, ideally in an ITIL framework.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and verbal.
• Valid driving license (category B).

Nice to Have

• ITIL certifications.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup/recovery solutions.
