The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning of our production equipment and systems. This role involves adhering to maintenance procedures, conducting regular inspections, and performing necessary repairs to maintain operational efficiency across various equipment and systems within the factory.
The Role
You will assist the manager with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks and oversee daily maintenance of plant equipment. Your responsibilities include responding to repair work orders promptly, updating work instructions and standard operating procedures for new equipment, mentoring technicians to enhance their skills and safety practices, and auditing supplier work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also manage capacity and safety improvement projects and supervise capital expenditure projects within the plant.
Responsibilities
- Assist the manager in completing TPM jobs.
- Oversee daily maintenance of plant equipment.
- Respond to repair work orders from departments and complete repairs on time.
- Edit work instructions and standard operating procedures as necessary for new equipment.
- Mentor and train technicians to enhance skills and safety awareness.
- Audit supplier performance in the plant to maintain safety and quality.
- Ensure timely completion of TPM tasks and report risks along with improvements.
- Facilitate smooth production operations.
- Manage capacity and safety improvement projects.
- Supervise capital expenditure and other projects in the plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field; Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience; 5 years preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
